Fortnite is a big deal. In fact, it’s probably the trendiest game on the market right now. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch is probably the trendiest console. Thus, it makes perfect sense to combine the two.
When two aces like this come along, why not combine them to make the perfect hand? Well, the developer behind the popular game is doing just that and bringing the game to Nintendo’s handheld console.
Yes… you’ve read that correctly. Epic Games has announced that Fortnite is on its way to the Nintendo Switch. In fact, it’s already there – you can grab it as a free download today (please read the rest of the article first though… they’re gone, aren’t they?).
There is no Nintendo-specific content for the game and you can’t cross-play with your friends who have a PS4, but nonetheless, this is pretty much guaranteed to be a hit.
Epic Games has been cranking out the good news lately; it recently announced that the game which is currently available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and iOS will be coming to Android this summer.
It has also recently had a popular crossover with Avengers: Infinity War. If you haven’t seen the video of Josh Brolin reacting to it, then we’d recommend you give it look.

The game continues to go from strength to strength, with the developers reporting 3.4 million concurrent players in February of this year.
